The Lanford Wilson Project Part Two: Sympathetic Magic

The mysteries of the cosmos and the human condition collide in Sympathetic Magic: Coming Together – Part 2 of The Lanford Wilson Project.

 

Part 2 of The Lanford Wilson Project, SYMPATHETIC MAGIC, follows a group of intense and clever San Franciscans — artists, scientists, spiritual searchers and lost souls — who continue to struggle with the themes of Part 1. While dealing with artistic failure and scientific uncertainty in the midst of a pandemic, they endeavor in their fierce and lively way to overcome the tragedies of the past and rise up.

The Lanford Wilson Project is being presented by Open Circle Play Factory. These two plays by Lanford Wilson, THE MOUND BUILDERS and SYMPATHETIC MAGIC, will be performed in repertory over a four-week run.

Lanford Wilson, one of the founders of the Circle Repertory Company and a Pulitzer Prize winner, developed his work within the historic context of the Off-Off Broadway theatre movement. The Lanford Wilson Project is a continuation of that legacy.

 

Vaccination Requirements:

Age 12+

All patrons 12 & older must be fully vaccinated 14 days prior to their performance date. Proof of vaccination must be accompanied by a valid photo ID (valid ID for ages 12-18 do not need to include a photo).  

Ages 5-11

Required to present *proof of at least one dose of an FDA or WHO authorized vaccination. This requirement follows the New York City vaccine mandate that went into effect on December 14, 2021.

Ages 2-4

Required to present a negative COVID-19 test: PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance, or a rapid antigen test taken within 6 hours of the performance. A negative test can be presented on paper or mobile device. We do not accept self-testing or at-home kits for negative tests.

Under 2 years old

There are no test requirements for children under the age of 2
