The Lucky Chance by Aphra Behn – Fiasco Theater Open Your Ears Reading Series

Fiasco Theater explores Aphra Behn’s hilarious proto-feminist restoration comedy from 1688. 

OPEN YOUR EARS is our new reading series – this is where we get to share texts we are investigating with an audience, giving everyone a chance to hear the play together.  We can both try out new ideas here, as well as take projects forward that have bubbled up from GroundWork, our internal workshop series, and see how they land.  Ensemble member Emily Young will direct an inventive exploration of Aphra Behn’s hilarious proto-feminist restoration comedy from 1688.

All patrons 12 & older must be fully vaccinated 2 weeks prior to their performance date. All patrons aged 2 – 11 must provide a negative COVID test. Masks must be worn inside the building at all times.

 

A Special Note on Pricing 

Once you have selected your seats and added them to your basket, you will be able to continue on and choose your desired pricing. The pricing options are as follows:  

Tier 1: $60  

Consider this price option if any of the statements below are true. You: 

• Own the home in which you live  
• Have investments, retirement accounts, or inherited money 
• Travel recreationally 
• Have access to family money and resources in times of need 

Tier 2: $40  

Consider this option if none of the Tier 1 statements apply to you, but any of the following statements do. You:  

• Are employed  
• Pay rent that accounts for more than 50% of your household income 
• Have large medical expenses not covered by insurance or childcare expenses not covered by your employer 

Tier 3: $20  

Choose this if you: 

• Are a full time student  
• Are unemployed or under-employed 
• Receive public assistance including, but not limited to, food stamps and public housing 
• Are facing financial hardship at the moment
