In 2020, many of our students had to adjust to learning outside of their classrooms. They rose to the challenge and continued practicing piano remotely with Music and the Brain @ Home, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything they accomplished. Check out performances from our 2020 All Stars here!
2016 marked the first year that Music and the Brain searched across our N.Y.C. schools to find an All Star team of students nominated by their music teachers. These students represent some of the achievements possible when they apply themselves and take practice time seriously in their classrooms.
MATB teachers submitted videotape of their All Star nominees showcasings their keyboard abilities playing MATB repertoire. Most had no additional training on piano other than their MATB lessons taught once or twice weekly by their music teacher. We are so proud of these Allstars and we look forward to a growing team of champions in the future.
