The Studio Residency at Theatre Row provides nonprofit performing arts companies with resources of time, space, and professional development intended for organizational growth. As a part of the residency, each company will receive access to studio theatre and rehearsal space over the course of the ten month season to be used as they see fit. The goal of the residency is to provide small and emerging companies with dedicated space to develop new works and grow as an organization. Theatre Row’s On-Stage Resident initiative recognizes and supports the nonprofit companies who make our theatres their creative homes. Organizations that regularly present work at Theatre Row can achieve On-Stage Resident status, a recognition of their ongoing partnership that includes added support, resources, and benefits throughout the production process. See a list of our current On-Stage Resident companies here.
Theatre Row partners with artists and organizations on creative performances, events, and projects that align with Building for the Arts’ mission and enrich the cultural life of our performing arts community and immediate neighborhood. These partnerships help expand artistic access, foster meaningful engagement, advocate for the performing arts field, and elevate the visibility of both our organization and our collaborators.
Other initiatives happening at Theatre Row include our theatre rental program, office space, rehearsal studios, and the work of fellow BFA program The American Playwriting Foundation.
