H*tler’s Tasters

Three times a day, every day, a group of young women have the opportunity to die for their country: They are Adolf Hitler’s food tasters.

A dark comedy about the young women who have the “honor” of being Adolf Hitler’s food tasters. Based on true events, H*tler’s Tasters explores the way girls navigate sexuality, friendship, patriotism, and poison during the Third Reich. Using an anachronistic retelling of an historical footnote, H*tler’s Tasters considers what girls discuss as they wait to see if they will survive another meal.

Winner of the 2017 Glaspell Award, H*tler’s Tasters debuted in NYC in 2018 and has since toured to Chicago, Los Angeles, East Hamptons, Saranac Lake (NY), Sylva (NC), and had a sold out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Post Show Talk-Back Series

To accompany this unique and vibrant production, New Light Theater Project will host a curated talkback series. Notable moderators and special guests will join our award-winning creative team to explore the themes of H*tler’s Tasters that engage today’s polemics, including the dangers of disinformation, the marginalization of minorities, and the significance of an entirely female-led theatrical production in an inequitable industry. We welcome your participation in this evolving conversation about how our play set “then” interrogates what threatens our world now.

Vaccination Requirements:

Age 5+

All patrons 5 & older must be fully vaccinated 14 days prior to their performance date. Proof of vaccination must be accompanied by a valid photo ID (valid ID for ages 5-18 do not need to include a photo).  

Once a child turns 5, they will have up to 45 days from their date of birth to be fully vaccinated.
