The End of Hester

Set in the autumn of 1910, the play takes place in a ghost town located in the foothills of the North Cascades in Washington State, where two aging squatters cling to some semblance of a home in a run-down cabin. But when a foreboding man comes to deliver an eviction on the premise, and a down on his luck cowboy seeks shelter and food, a battle for the property insights violence. An exploration of distant yet timeless American characters in the Pacific Northwest, The End of Hester tells the story of the rotting American dream.

Featuring Obie Award winning actor Larry Pine (Succession, House of Cards, The Royal Tenenbaums), Gerry Bamman (Home Alone, Imagining Madoff), Larry Bull (Broadway’s Coast of Utopia), and David Manis ( Broadway’s War Horse).
